I've searched the forum, but I don't see much mention of it.
I just read about it http://stronglifts.com/anabolic-diet/ (and you can get the book online) and I was about to plan a diet based on it.
Anyone have any experience with it?
I was thinking about switching from my egg beaters to real eggs for it,
but would that be too much cholesterol? I've read that 1 egg yolk has
2/3 of your daily recommended cholesterol.
RDA is bull**** for
RDA is bull**** for everything including eggs.
Okay here's what I have so
Okay here's what I have so far. NOTE that I'm going to change one of the chickens to steak (once I go buy some in a minute and can calculate the nutritonal content of it) and I'm going to switch from lean beef patties to fatty beef patties. That should put me over the 55% threshold for fat that I need to reach (see in the image that I'm only at 52%).
It should also give me a few more calories. Any comments appreciated.
BTW I'm 26, 5'7", 160 lbs, 15% bodyfat. Doing HIIT 3 times a week, and starting strength (with dumbbells) twice a week. Otherwise I'm very sedentary- sitting in front of the computer all day long. My goal is to cut to 10% bodyfat, and then start bulking again for 6 months, then cut a little again before law school starts.
You should conider eggs to
You should conider eggs to be "healthy" foods. The notion that eggs are bad for you is one from the 1990s, and it is far from conventional wisdom today.
T-nation also has an anabolic diet (maybe its the same thing). You might check their forums b/c I'm sure a ton of people have posted about it.
hey man, the anabolic diet
hey man, the anabolic diet is going to take your bodyfat down and add you muscle theres no point in the whole cutting/bulking. Your going to need to increase somethings though just send me a pm i can set u up.
I find it funny that the
I find it funny that the vast majority of people who're like "PM me, I'll set you up." are mostly droolers who when they do post their programs they turn out to suck it really hard.
Grey,
I'm lazy and not reading through all those spreadsheets but from what I've heard the anabolic diet is very solid. GL with it.

Thremp- just read the very bottom of the second one. Do you think 2054 calories is too little?
Also, does the fact that I'm grilling my meat remove too much of the fat?
I just added some cheese to
I just added some cheese to my eggs. God I love this diet.
I was already only getting like 33% of my calories from carbs, so hopefully the adjustment period won't be too rough on me. It's probably just my imagination, but after the first day of it, I feel really energized.
I can't really say. It looks
I can't really say. It looks like it makes sense, but everyone is different. You might need to adjust 250 cals up or down depending on how it goes for you the first couple weeks.
Grilling is fine.

guess its fitting for the forum a$$hole to clue me in on this.
to the OP I'm not a "drooler" man just trying to help outl
So then help. I don't see
So then help. I don't see why you want to put it in a PM.
After two days on the diet
After two days on the diet I've gone from 158.6 to 156.4. I had no idea I had that much water weight. And I don't feel worn out or hungry at all. Very slight headache, but I'm not sure that's related. I'm drinking 3/4 gallon of water a day.
It's good to take
It's good to take encouragement where you can, but don't get too stuck on what happens every two days. It'll just drive you nuts and is rarely relevant.
Hell, my turds can go up and down in weight by three pounds per day, no sweat.
Yeah, but I've been on a 1900 calorie diet for a couple weeks now, and never seen a drop anything like that. I always weigh myself as soon as I get up / after I use the restroom. So I think it's fairly accurate.
Seriously though, why isn't everyone on this diet? What am I missing?
cholesterol for the most part is genetic, even with high saturated fat intakes. Thats not to say that a good diet will not keep your cholesterol healthy (or a bad diet give you a bad one) but that some people can have a diet high in sat fats and have no cholesterol problems at all.
on the diet, some bodybuilders swear by it. I'm pretty sure though the original author said only specific body types really respond to it, not everybody. Just food for thought.
I haven't read that cholesterol levels are for the most part genetic. I've read that doctors acknowledge that heredity plays a part, but that's an extremely long way away from saying it is mostly genetic. Even were it entirely true, that doesn't necessarily mean we should pay any less attention to intake.
heres a post i made about setting up a diet http://www.sosuave.net/forum/showthread.php?t=134782
with your stats you need to be doing double your body weight in protein, this will help with gains and also increase your intake, your fat intake needs to be a lot higher, around 200g of fat for a starting point....olive oil, eggs, fish oil, bacon, beef are going to be your new best friends. Again get the idea of cutting/bulking out of your head. Instead your building muscle while lowering body fat at the same time and the headaches are normal, they'll go away, just keep the fat/water/protein intake high
